Jenkintown is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, about 16 miles north of Center City Philadelphia. Jenkintown is home to some of the oldest residential architecture in Montgomery County, much of which is included in the town's listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The Jenkintown Historic District encompasses 330 acres, including several hundred buildings that date back to the 18th and 19th centuries. Many of these buildings are located along what is now known as "The Wye," a tree-lined section of West Avenue with a wide central green space. Jenkintown offers residents a unique blend of small-town charm and urban amenities, making it an ideal place to live.
